GENETIC MODIFICATION of FOODS & CROPS IS ...

               ........ DAMN SEXY !

- NOT . Sorry, I don’t think so. To some, maybe, but
not to me, and probably not to most folk either, I’d bargain.

But like sex, it affects everyone and everything in one way or another, sooner or later. What’s disconcerting is that you’ve probably missed your virgin moment without even realising it.

In their desire to be ‘sexier’, NSW and Victoria have decided
to let commercial GM canola on to the land, into our
international trade bins and onto our dining tables. ( Indeed,
we do already have commercial GM cotton and trials for GM carnations in Australia...)

And, as you’ll see, there’s a lot of GM in our food supply already.

So what’s the big deal ? If there were concerns about the
sex you didn’t know you were having, don’t you think you oughta know what they were ?? And what if there was also NO CHOICE about having the sex or not ? or with whom ? Ever ?

Read on, and you’ll see what an increasing number of governments and peoples of the world are saying NO to, the more they learn about GM ( or GMO / GE ) - its science,
and the political and corporate agendas driving it

Now, I’m also happy to be proven wrong with any verifiable
facts though if you want to get ‘em to me - BUT, based on
all I’ve read, seen and heard about GM foods, crops, ingredients, crop trials and its industrial & political agendas, over the last two years, then, for me....

    “ If it’s GMO , it’s Gotta GO ”
        ( at least back to a sealed lab ! )

But you don’t have to listen to me - listen to all the scientists , the whistleblowers, businessmen, investment profilers, environmentalists and community groups, nationally and internationally, for starters....

Then look at the evidence on the ground - hear what the world’s farmers, GM & non GM growers have to say....
about yields, market losses & restrictions, soil health, increased chemical usage, stock, environmental & human health concerns....

Even David Suzuki ( geneticist ), describes the science as “primitive, and in its infancy “ and , recently giving the 2008 Commonwealth Lecture in London “ Any scientist who tells you they know that GMOs are safe and not to worry about it,
is either ignorant of the history of science or is deliberately lying. Nobody knows what the long-term effect will be. ”

As for the old Pro-GMers’ argument of ‘ feeding the world with
GM ’, Raj Patel, author of “ Stuffed & Starved “, counters that, with the analogous observation that in the US, the leading GM producing country in the world, 30 million people go hungry every day - This is a great example of what we already know - that world hunger is political not agricultural.

Please take the time to educate yourself about what’s happening, and being planned for, our food supply.

The petition itself caters for aussie & international farmers, scientists, individuals, NGOs, and more, with room for comments. I hope you see it worthy of your support.


This is also an open invitation    to the pro GM activist lobby -      Prof. Rick Roush, David Tribe, SImon Ramsey, VFF & NFF representatives, plus anyone from any biotech company ( Monsanto, Syngenta, Bayer etc ) or seed on-seller ( Nu Farm, Pioneer Seeds etc ), and politicians to engage in a public, filmed forum with pro biodiversity proponents ( that is, the No-GM proponents ), a live audience with questions, at a time & venue to be arranged.
